Position Details
- Title: Finance Specialist
- Location: Beira, Mozambique
- Contract Type: Volunteer Assignment (via UNV)

Key Responsibilities
1. Operational and Financial Management:
- Ensure compliance with UNDP financial rules and regulations.
- Design and implement internal financial processes.
- Analyze financial reports, identify anomalies, and propose solutions.
2. Project Monitoring and Reporting:
- Plan, manage, and report financial resources aligned with UNDP standards.
- Support budget planning and monitoring.
- Prepare corporate and donor financial reports.
3. Financial Oversight:
- Manage project finances transparently and efficiently.
- Ensure timely submission of financial and administrative reports.
- Oversee costs and budget balances, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
4. Implementation and Coordination:
- Support project work plan preparation and timely implementation.
- Coordinate consultations, capacity-building activities, and logistics.
- Maintain project records, assets, and inventories.
5. Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Building:
- Conduct training for stakeholders on financial management.
- Share lessons learned and best practices with a focus on EU compliance.
Qualifications
- Experience in financial management within international organizations.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and compliance with donor requirements.
- Knowledge of UNDP policies and procedures is a plus.
